Privacy Policy for Quick Maps
Effective Date: November 4, 2025
Quick Maps is a Chrome extension designed to help users quickly view map directions using the Google Maps Embed API. We value your privacy and are committed to transparency about how data is handled.
1. Data Collection
Quick Maps does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, browsing data, or user-generated content. The only data used comes directly from the input you provide (such as an address or location) and is processed by Google’s Maps service to generate directions.
2. Data Usage
Your input (e.g., starting and destination addresses) is sent directly to Google’s servers via the Google Maps Embed API. This communication happens entirely between your browser and Google; Quick Maps itself does not read, store, or log that information.
3. Data Sharing
Quick Maps does not share any data with third parties. The only external service involved is Google Maps, which may collect information according to its own Privacy Policy. No data is shared with the developer of Quick Maps or any other company.
4. Permissions
Quick Maps only requests the minimal permissions needed to function properly, such as permission to open a map view or access user input within the extension popup. It does not access your browser history, cookies, or personal files.
5. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Any significant updates will be clearly noted.
6. Contact
